OptiOrange Valencia 2020: first 100 entries from 13 nations are in

With almost 5 months before the start of the OptiOrange Valencia 2020 the entries number reached 100 young Optimist sailors representing 13 nations. St.Petersburg YC and the RCNV are expecting even more entries to join soon as some new features announced.

Conceived around three main principles – competition, fun and easy access – the OptiOrange Valencia inaugurated in 2018 with 60+ entries. For its second edition in 2019 the entry list has grown dramatically with 316 entries from 16 nations. This led to some fine tuning of the regatta program to make the event even more fun and competitive.

Firstly as it was announced, there will be two race courses for junior and cadet sailors, so the competitors will match the level of their groups. Then, as it was in March 2019, the clinics with world-famous coaches will be provided for those, who want to be better prepared before the season starts. Also, for far travelers the organizing committee provides charter boats for 350 Eurs for regatta period and 50 Eurs for each additional practice day.

Add also the lowest entry fee of 90 Eurs (Early bird till 5th Feb 2020) and free meals during the regatta and the successful formula is ready. Furthermore, the OptiOrange Valencia organizers are providing free regatta shuttle for those who stay Valencia downtown and spectators’ boat for parents and guests wishing to witness the on-water action. And of course there will be tons of prizes drawn daily among the competitors.

OptiOrange Valencia is set for 5th-8th March 2020 with some teams arrival as soon as 1st March for training. The regatta documents and the entry form are available at the official page: http://optiorangevalencia.com/
